I am seriously considering running the ConSuite as a Maniot Tavern, styled after the fierce Greek pyrate families of the Mediterranean. Refreshments would be Greek / Med. and shipboard style. 10 lashes at the post for anyone that complains or volunteers for it. Hollywood Pyrates are certainly welcome but will have to serve time at the oars to prove their mettle.
Our Hard Tack will be somewhat more appetizing than the original (less mold, no need to soften up with a good soaking.) Sharing recipes that will make use of an entire 5 gallon bucket of Feta cheese are most welcome. Other suggestions are welcome but have a better chance of acceptance with samples.
The Tavern will be much more centrally located this year and under certain restrictions that will be announced as they develop. Efforts are being made to keep the room open from con opening to con closing with only brief closing times. Please note that minors of any age may not be left unattended in the tavern at any time and will not be allowed between the hours of 10pm to 8am both nights. Those found in violation may be put to work in the scullery or set to the oars.
Ideas submitted on an official form (which would be US currency...) will recieve priority consideration in the order of decending denomination.

Who's thinkin' what I be thinking, a rousing round of "Nail the Tail on Polly" and I'm not talking about blindfolded half-heights running around with hammers...

That'd be right fine by me. We'll also be needin' Extra large shot glasses for "piece o' eights" (or they don't fit right...)
I just acquired a copy of Talisman 4th Edition and will bring that as well. And plenty of Cards and Dice for "enhanced wealth transfer" type games.....
Sadly, my favorite, Keelhauling, was deemed a bit too brutal for the con and will be absent for the duration.
And for entertainment (other than the serving wenches...) we'll have Sea Shanty sing alongs aka Pirate filking. Yo Ho hee hee hee Ho.

Let me know if Serendipity can set up "Tea Time with the Doctor" in Con Suite on saturday from 4:00-6:00pm. We would need some prep time from 3:30-4:00 but Con Suite can stay open during that time. We will provide our own decor, music, utensils, food and drinks!

Would the "Good Doctor" understand that landing a TARDIS next to a Pirate Tavern is a right risky thing to do? I'm talking way beyond those cute little Dalek Doorstops. I'm open to the idea, but not so much about the re-decorating. We're not talking about a few small things to move around here.....
(And if the ConSuite space is not suitable, perhaps the Atrium will be available?)

We'll definetly work something out. The Tea Time with the Doctor is an important con tradition.

We would like to keep Tea Time in the Con Suite. And about the re-decorating, we are just going to bring a few items for the tables we'll be using. We won't need to move any of the existing decor.
